The Blue Future of the Arctic
The High North Dialogue Conference - previously the Arctic Dialogue - is an annual event, where people and organizations meet to discuss thoughts and concerns regarding Arctic development. Government officials, industry leaders, policy makers, and researchers form a solid foundation for the conference. The main purpose of the conference is to facilitate and encourage dialogue between stakeholders for sustainable industrial development in the Arctic region, share information and strategies, as well as deliberating on the key challenges of the region. The main topic for the 2016 Conference will be “The Blue Future of the Arctic”.

Furthermore the conference will address an exciting selection of sub-themes, such as Geopolitics of the Arctic, The Blue Potential, Arctic Innovation, Future Arctic Leaders and High North Scenarios, in addition to a Arctic Business joint session. The conference also offers a wide range of interesting master and PhD courses, ranging from International perspectives on business and governance in the High North to Governance in the High North: implications for Arctic private and public sector.

Target group
The future leaders of the Arctic – from Business, Academia and Politics – are the main target group of the conference. We will particularly focus on Master- and PhD students working with Arctic issues. We invite students from all around the world to participate at High North Dialogue graduate courses. Continuing our international focus, we are pleased to announce student participation from Norway, Russia, Ukraine, China, Canada, USA and more. This conference offers a unique opportunity to discuss both future challenges and opportunities in the Arctic.
